Welcome to my community!
My name is Jenny and I created Latinas United with purpose of wanting to help other women. Recently I was selected out of 4000 applicants from all over the world as a Champion for Change for the organization Empower Women. This platform is an extension created by the United Nations Women to help promote women’s economic empowerment.
With Latinas United I wanted to create something convenient for Women to be able to get the self-esteem they lack, the guidance they desire, and the encouragement to inspire them to be better Mothers, better Daughters and stronger Women! Because the key to having a successful life begins with yourself first. I grew up in a community where the stories you would here about were more negative that positive and I wanted to be able to highlight women who are breaking the stereotypes and barriers that we face as women every single day. Here we share stories of women, from all walks of life. We explore the world around us and all the different cultures that influence us.
As I climb I hope to life other women and break the stereotypes of women feeling like they have to compete with one another in order to succeed. We each hold value and we need to learn to work together.
UNITED is the only way we can accomplish so much more.
