It’s a title that is far more powerful than I could have ever imagined. A title that deserves honor and great respect for women. A mother has carried you and sustained you. As we grow up and become our own people we may come to forget that woman who has nurtured and loved us. When I think of all the things it takes to be a mom, I think of my mom and how amazing she has been and still is. A mother is the first to teach you about unconditional love. A mother is not perfect but strives to be the best. A mother makes sacrifices even when it doesn’t make sense. A mother is the only person in the world that knows you better than you know yourself. A mother is patient, A mother is kind. If your able to create life that within itself is a miracle. The birth of a child is absolutely something that words could not describe. The emotions I felt when both my sons were born were beyond words and I am grateful that I am able to be a mother.
If you are fortunate enough to have the title of MOTHER make sure you stand proud not only on Mother’s Day but everyday that you wake up. Giving birth is the easy part of being a mom. Staying up at night to care for a crying baby, having to work 2 jobs to help pay the bills, sacrificing your dreams to give your children a better life and showing your child love and affection is all a part of the role. A mother protects you at all times and In the toughest moments she will always find a way to make things work. She will show you tough love but only to make you better person. Your mom will believe in you even when you don’t believe in yourself. It take courage to be a mom.
Many times I see Mother’s talk and show more than they act. Displaying love and affection on a picture just for show and tell is not that same as actually spending time with your kids. Your children could care less about posing for a picture for the world to see. All they want is your love and your FULL attention. As I see what media is doing to the new generation of Mother’s it breaks my heart to know that many Mom’s are more occupied with their phones either on Instagram, Facebook or into themselves, rather than what’s going on with their kids.
Being a mother is not just for show..
I take this role SERIOUSLY! As we are who we are because of our Parents..
We play a far greater role than we realize in our children’s lives.
Cherish your children they will grow up fast and be the leader you want your children to be.
As I look at my children I HOPE that I will be, as great a mother to my children As my mom is to me…
